
There are many things to love about the different islands here, but without a doubt, Isabela and Fernandina are my favorites on our itinerary. They are younger, mountainous with recent lava flows, and have more active marine life because of the cooler, nutrient rich waters. Here are two images from that day, one of a Pacific green sea turtle (above) and the other of a flightless cormorant (below), a bird that only exists in the Galapagos Islands.
